This playful, art deco inspired piece coalesced quickly and unexpectedly, but once I saw the abstract journey to the Emerald City within this picture I couldn’t unsee it. The swirls and swipes from the green layer of paint are highlighted in gold, as are the poppies and there are a few collage elements as well. This piece is now framed in rustic gold, see below.
